Togo-Ghana centre-back Kennedy Boateng, currently without a club after leaving FC Dinamo, is being linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Kocaelispor.
Boateng, 29, joined FC Dinamo from Austrias A. Lustenau on a free transfer in July 2024, but his time with the Romanian club ended on 1 July 2026. He is now available as Kocaelispor assess defensive options ahead of the new season.
The 1.91m defender has made 53 appearances in Romanias SuperLiga, scoring six goals and providing one assist. He also has 52 Liga Portugal appearances and 41 Bundesliga appearances on his career record.
Boateng began his senior career with LASK after moving from Ghanaian club WAFA SC in 2016. He later spent time with SV Ried, where he won the Austrian Second League title in 2019-20, before joining Santa Clara in Portugal in 2021.
His most recent club record includes 14 appearances in the SuperLiga championship group and 12 in Austrias Regional League Central, alongside domestic cup and European qualifying experience.
Boatengs listed market value is 1.2m, although his departure from FC Dinamo means any move to Kocaelispor would not involve a transfer fee. No agreement has been confirmed, and the defender remains without a club.
